Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions govern the use of FeedKeeper Cloud. They apply to every contract between you and us, whether you pay through our website (payment via Stripe) or through the Apple App Store. This English version is a convenience translation; the German version is binding.

1Provider and scope
FeedKeeper Cloud is provided by visualfusion, owner: Christian Hamann, Biebinger Straße 14, 83365 Nußdorf, Germany, email: hello@feedkeeper.cloud ("we"). These terms apply to all contracts for FeedKeeper Cloud: the web app at feedkeeper.cloud, the interfaces (API and MCP) and the use of the FeedKeeper apps for iOS, iPadOS and macOS with a Cloud account.
The offer is aimed exclusively at consumers within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB). We do not accept conflicting terms. The source code of the FeedKeeper server is freely available under an open-source licence. These terms apply only to the service we host, not to running it on your own servers.
2Services
FeedKeeper Cloud is a hosted reader for RSS and Atom feeds. We fetch the feeds you subscribe to, store your read states, folders, notes and saved articles, put together editions and synchronise everything between your devices.
There are two plans. The scope of functions follows the plan description on our website at the time of your order. The Edition plan covers synchronisation, editions, full text and full-text search, notes, archive and offline use. The AI Pro plan adds the AI curator with summaries and access for AI assistants and agents through MCP. The AI curator is currently available only in the FeedKeeper app, which we will release shortly. Until then, AI Pro adds access through MCP over Edition; we point this out on our website before you order.
The AI curator uses an external service (Anthropic, Claude). Results of AI functions may be incomplete or wrong. The content of feeds comes from third parties and we do not adopt it as our own. We are not responsible for services you connect to FeedKeeper yourself, such as AI assistants.
3Account and trial
You need an account to use the service. You register with an email address, a name and a password and confirm your email address with a code. You are of full age or act with the consent of your legal guardians. Your details must be true. Keep your credentials secret. The account is personal and not transferable. When you register you accept these terms with a checkbox; we store the time and version of your acceptance.
After confirmation, new accounts receive a free trial with the functions of the Edition plan. Its length is shown at registration and on the website. We need no payment details for the trial. It ends automatically and does not turn into a paid subscription. The trial is given once per person and email address: if you delete your account and register again with the same address, you do not get another. The AI Pro plan has no trial and is paid from the start.
4Formation of the contract
The contract for the trial is formed when you confirm your email address. A paid subscription is formed when you choose a plan in the order process, check your details and place a binding order with the button "order with obligation to pay" or a similarly clear label (in the Stripe checkout the "Subscribe" button with the express note that the order is subject to payment; in the Apple App Store the confirmation of the purchase), and we accept it. We accept by activating the plan and sending you a confirmation. The confirmation comes by email and contains the contract details, the withdrawal notice and these terms as a file. Before you order, you can correct your entries in the order process at any time.
You can retrieve, save and print these terms at any time at feedkeeper.cloud/en/terms. The contract language is German.
5Prices and payment
The prices shown when you order apply. All prices are final prices in euros including statutory value-added tax and apply per month. The price is due in advance at the start of each billing period.
If you order through our website, you pay through our payment service provider Stripe with the payment methods offered in the order process. If a payment fails, we inform you. Until it is settled, your access may be limited to reading and export.
6Purchases through the Apple App Store
In the FeedKeeper apps you can take out a subscription as an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store. Payment, billing and management of that subscription then follow Apple's terms. The App Store shows you the price, currency and taxes when you buy. We receive only the subscription status from Apple.
Apple is not a party to the contract for FeedKeeper Cloud and is not obliged to maintain or support the apps. Apple's standard end-user licence agreement also applies to the apps.
Your plan applies across platforms: a plan you have bought applies to your Cloud account in the web app and in all apps, no matter whether you paid through Stripe or Apple. You manage the payment method, cancellation and refunds where you bought. If you take out several subscriptions for the same account, for example one with Stripe and one with Apple, you pay for each separately. The higher plan determines the scope of functions. You must cancel each subscription separately.
7Term and cancellation
A subscription runs for one month from the start and renews automatically for another month each time unless you cancel beforehand. You can cancel at any time without notice, effective at the end of the current billing period. Until then you keep using all functions of your plan.
You cancel a subscription taken out through our website with the "Cancel subscription" button on our website, in the footer of every page and in the web app under Settings → Membership (feedkeeper.cloud/en/cancel). You do not need to sign in: you enter your name and the email address of your account and click "Cancel now". We confirm the cancellation at once by email with the date and time we received it and the end of the subscription. You can also cancel in the Stripe customer portal ("Manage subscription") or by email to hello@feedkeeper.cloud. You cancel a subscription taken out through Apple in your Apple ID settings under "Subscriptions", under Apple's rules at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Both sides' right to terminate for good cause remains unaffected. After a subscription ends, your account remains (see section 12).
8Right of withdrawal
Withdrawal notice. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (visualfusion, owner: Christian Hamann, Biebinger Straße 14, 83365 Nußdorf, Germany, email: hello@feedkeeper.cloud) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement, for example a letter or an email. You can use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not mandatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we must reimburse all payments we have received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day we receive your notice of withdrawal. We use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees for the reimbursement.
If you requested that the service begin during the withdrawal period, you must pay us an appropriate amount that corresponds to the proportion of the services already provided by the time you inform us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal, compared with the full scope of the services provided for in the contract.
Early expiry. Your right of withdrawal expires for a contract for services if we have fully provided the service and began providing it only after you gave your express consent and at the same time confirmed that you lose your right of withdrawal once we have fully performed the contract. We ask for this consent and confirmation in the order process.
Purchases through Apple. If you took out the subscription through the Apple App Store, you can declare the withdrawal to us. The refund also follows Apple's terms and is processed through Apple. We support you with it.
9Rules of use and content
You use FeedKeeper Cloud lawfully and for your own use. In particular, you may not pass on your account, circumvent technical limits or rate limits, run automated mass requests outside the intended access (API and MCP within your plan), use the service as a proxy or to query internal networks, or do anything that disrupts operation or infringes third-party rights. We may set reasonable technical limits, for example for feeds, fetch frequency and AI requests. They are shown in the service or on the website.
Articles and feeds are protected by copyright. Storage, full text and archive are meant for your private use. Your notes and your own compilation belong to you. You grant us the non-exclusive right to store and process them as far as the service requires.
In case of a serious or repeated breach, we may, after a prior warning, suspend your account temporarily or terminate the contract. Without a warning this is possible if the service or third parties are at risk. We refund prepaid fees for the time after termination proportionally if you are not responsible for the reason.
10Availability and changes
We strive for high availability but do not owe uninterrupted access. We announce maintenance beforehand where possible. The service depends on providers such as hosting, Cloudflare, Stripe and Apple. We cannot rule out disruptions beyond our control.
We may develop and change the service if there is a valid reason, such as technical progress, security or legal requirements, and you incur no additional costs. If a change affects your access or use more than insignificantly, we inform you beforehand in text form and you can cancel free of charge within thirty days.
We change prices of existing subscriptions only with your consent. If you do not consent, your subscription continues at the old price until the end of the billing period, after which it may end.
11Warranty and liability
The statutory provisions on defects of digital products apply (Sections 327 et seq. BGB). We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and where we have given a guarantee.
In case of slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation, that is, an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you can regularly rely. Liability is then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded. You can export your subscriptions as OPML and your notes as a file. We recommend doing so regularly.
12Data protection, export and deletion
How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy. You can export your data at any time and delete your account yourself in the settings under "Delete account". Deletion ends all contracts. A running subscription through Stripe is ended, with no refund for the current period. You must cancel a subscription through Apple with Apple.
After the trial ends or after cancellation, your account remains. You can keep reading and exporting, but nothing is synchronised or changed until you book a plan. We may delete accounts without an active plan that have not been used for twelve months after prior notice by email.
13Changes to these terms
We may change these terms with effect for the future if there is a valid reason, for example new functions or a change in the law, and the balance of the contract is not shifted to your disadvantage. We notify you of the change by email at least six weeks before it takes effect. It applies only if you agree. If you do not agree, the previous terms continue to apply. We may then terminate the contract at the end of the billing period.
14Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. As a consumer with habitual residence in the EU you keep the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where you live. For claims against you, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remains valid. The statutory provisions replace the invalid provision. The German version is binding; the English and Japanese versions are for better understanding.
